About Emese Mic

I am an IT Specialist who helps companies achieve goals and customer requirements. I do this by collaborating with the business units and development teams, by managing risk, value and budget. My strength is my analytical background in software engineering, platform implementations with governance frameworks and working with large, diverse teams ( onshore/offshore ). Data and statistics is what I understand and love. But my true value is bringing out the best in people. My passion is to work with diverse teams. I speak 3 languages fluently and love to travel off the beaten path. My work taught me how to bridge the cultural gaps between teams. Once I understood the differences, I realized how much alike we all are. In my previous role of Application Development Team Lead (part of IT Management), I have built a Community of Excellence within the team, where we introduced best practices like: o The company Design Principles and Best Practices in Software Development o Peer Review (Design and Code, Manual and Automated) o Test-Driven Development o Maintenance Categorization and related KPIs to our Software Development Lifecycle o Application Complexity Assessment o Code management and tools o DevOps o Technical Documentation Standards As an IS Business Partner, I worked closely with the Business Units to understand their Business Goals and Outcomes, prioritize them based on value and risk and develop Technology and Business Roadmaps. As a Service Delivery Specialist, I was the owner/manager of cloud enterprise platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow and Enablon, vendor supported and custom developed applications. My responsibility was to oversee the product lifecycle and all development work for the products. Accountable for all product related decisions by being the domain expert from design, technical, operations and business user perspective. Supported the migration of on-prem servers to cloud. As a Software Developer, I developed custom programs in Downstream Business areas, like Marketing, Downstream Accounting and Retail Operations. Developed software for all credit card related processes, like approvals, issue/reissue of cards, credit checks, fraud reports, gift cards and loyalty programs. I have helped implement PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) and become certified at the company level.
