I originally started my career as a small animal veterinarian. My passion has been the lifetime health of animals, the human-animal bond, and trying to heal those who cannot speak. I became interested in the basic sciences that provide the foundation for my clinical work. During the recession,I returned to graduate school to learn how to be a researcher and a basic scientist.
