About Emidalys Serrano

In the years I have been able to serve my community I have been truly humbled. As Community Engagement Coordinator for Youth Leadership Institute of Erie I have been able to see youth through four years of high school providing the connections needed for easy transition into high school, successful graduation, connections to resources in-between (mental health, scholarship programs, and community resources) and provided a platform for them to be active in their communities; whether by writing and presenting legislative bills or participating in service learning activities. As the VP of Visual Arts for Erie Arts and Culture CHROMA Guild I have helped plan, develop, and effectively carried out the installation of multiple art displays and gallery showings within the city of Erie, PA by the multicultural minority arts living and working in our city. February 2022 I curated the gallery night event Underneath it All at City Gallery 1503 State Street. This show was the first show to showcase 7 women of color on the same night in the city of Erie.
