About Emilee Atkinson

I am a graduate of Weber State University with a Bachelors in Communication. My emphasis is in multimedia journalism. News is always something I've been passionate about. Keeping up with it is as easy as ever in our time, and it's incredibly important to have honest and reliable journalists delivering the news. I am one such reporter. I've always loved having a newspaper in my hand, but as time has changed I've embraced the digital news. I chose multimedia journalism as my emphasis because it's essential to embrace and acknowledge that journalism is more than just writing. I am proficient in videography, social media and producing news individually. I continue to hone my skills in these areas to compliment my writing. I've always been in love with the arts, most of my work has been focused on writing about music and local art in Ogden. I'm an avid concert goer, northern Utah has great concert venues. Below I have several articles from my time at Weber State University's student-run newspaper, The Signpost. I also have my articles from Morgan County News. I also have a business card I designed in my Visual Communication class for Visit Ogden. Thank you for looking at my profile!
