About Emily Barnhardt

Emily holds a BA in Sociology from UNC-Charlotte and an MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her expertise spans clinical and macro level work, centered on serving survivors of interpersonal violence and driving systems-level change.Emily's interests intersect with her experience in trauma, human trafficking, and organizational development across client-facing, organizational, and community settings. Her competencies and skills include interagency collaboration and networking, leadership and team coordination, relationship management, trauma-informed care, training/education, public speaking and presentation, clinical skills, and advocacy.Emily’s diverse skill set is further demonstrated through various volunteer-based commitments and work experiences, including guest lecturing at academic institutions, assisting with design/implementation of leadership development and training programs, presenting to military personnel and law enforcement agencies, launching community support initiatives, and nonprofit fundraising and event coordination. She is passionate about and known for her ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, lead teams, provide trauma-informed care, educate others, and advocate for survivors of sexual/domestic violence and human trafficking.
