About Emily Bee
I graduated from De Montfort University in 2011 with a first class degree in midwifery after previously working in intensive care as an adult staff nurse. From here I worked clinically as a rotational midwife whilst simultaneously completing my MSc in Health and Community Care at Leeds Beckett in 2017. I began my career as a midwifery lecturer in 2019 whilst also undertaking doctoral level study and have been at the University of Bradford since 2021. I am now postgraduate lead for midwifery, simulation lead for midwifery and also am module lead on the pre-registration programmes. I am passionate about providing contemporary, evidence based, flexible education which meets the needs of modern midwifery and have special interests in enhanced maternal care, simulation, co-sleeping and teaching pedagogies.
