About Emily Blough

As a City Connects Coordinator at Raymond Park Middle School, I am responsible for providing comprehensive school-based support services to students and families, collaborating with teachers, counselors, and community partners to address the academic, social, emotional, and health needs of each child. I am also a Social Emotional Learning Coordinator at Reach For Youth, Inc, where I design and implement evidence-based programs and interventions to promote positive youth development, prevent risky behaviors, and reduce school dropout rates. With over two years of experience as a social work consultant, I have helped various organizations and agencies improve their policies, practices, and outcomes in the areas of child welfare, mental health, and education. I currently hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the IU School of Social Work, with a focus on School Policy and Administration. I have a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, where I graduated with honors and received multiple awards for academic excellence and community service. I have strong skills in leading positive change, positive psychology, social perceptiveness, and communication. My mission is to empower students and families to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential, and my field of expertise is social-emotional learning.
