About Emily Bowman
I am currently completing my Master of Science in Recreational Therapy (MSRT) degree at Temple University. I also work part-time as a Research Assistant with the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion studying the connections between social isolation, loneliness, and mental illness. I am passionate about many forms of recreation and leisure, and am excited to embark on this new career path. Through a strengths-based approach to treatment, I am committed to utilizing evidence-based interventions to support individuals' goals and dreams. I also teach yoga and dance, and I have a passion for movement. I am a Yoga Alliance certified teacher (RYT 200) and enjoy making yoga accessible to all people. While living in Hawaii, I taught students ages 5-18 in ballet technique for four years. My undergraduate education is in Dance and English, and I have a history of dance training, performance, and choreography.
