About Emily Bromer

As a speech language pathologist at Appomattox County Public Schools, I provide quality services to students with various communication needs, such as speech sound disorders, language delays, apraxia, multiple disabilities, AAC, and hearing loss. I manage a caseload of over 60 students, ranging from PreK to high school, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each student. I have been working as a speech language pathologist for over four years, and I hold the credential from ASHA and a full Virginia SLP license. I am passionate about helping children overcome their communication weaknesses and achieve their academic and social goals. I am also committed to learning new skills and staying updated on the latest research and best practices in my field. I am proud to be part of the Appomattox County Public Schools team, where I can make a positive difference in the lives of many students and families. Additionally, I am a proud alumnus of Edinboro Univeristy of Pennsylvania (Class of 2018) and Longwood University (Class of 2020). I am passionate about giving back to the field of speech-language pathology by being a member of the Speech-Language-Hearing Association of Virginia (SHAV) and working as a clinical educator at Longwood University Speech, Hearing, and Learning Services clinic. I have recently taken on the position of Vice President for Continuing Education on the SHAV Board of Directors where I am tasked with providing continuing education opportunities to members across Virginia and planning the annual conference.
