About Emily Calloway

I graduated from Texas Christian University with my bachelor’s degree in social work and continued my education at University of Chicago. Throughout graduate school, I focused primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but also gained experience in Family Systems Therapy. Upon receiving my master’s degree in clinical social work, I relocated to Dallas, TX. I received my social work license in Texas. I currently work at Parkland Hospital as a social worker in the Psychiatric ED. I am well versed in conducting psychosocial assessments and developing an appropriate plan of care and disposition for patients. Currently in clinical supervision. During graduate school, I was an intern for the Crisis Team at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL where I conducted psychosocial assessments and determined dispositions for patients. My experience on the Crisis Team set me up for success for my current position in the Psychiatric ED. Additionally, I gained experience in case management through my undergraduate internship with Fort Worth Independent School District with elementary school students. I have served children, adolescents, and adults through my experiences as an intern and licensed social worker.
