About Emily Carpenter
As someone who has always wanted to make a difference globally, I knew I had to find a way to accomplish just that. My parents ingrained in me at an early age that volunteering was essential to a fulfilling life. They taught me that no matter what I have, there is always something I can give, even if it is just time. We built playgrounds, served food, and always helped people we saw in need. I have continued that tradition of volunteering and my family has started our own foundation (The Jim G. Carpenter Foundation) in honor of my late father to help those in the community dealing with life-altering and terminal illnesses. We also give scholarships away to high school seniors. My master's degree in Public Affairs has strengthened this deep-rooted yearning to help people. I want to use my formal education and experiences as tools to help those in need by making a positive, substantial, and long-lasting impact. I am open to ideas and opportunities wherever my life takes me.
