About Emily Clunas

I am a graduate from the Graphic Communications Management program. I am a self-motivated and highly organized individual who is fast to learn new technologies, equipment and processes. The busy school semesters and part-time job have allowed my time-management, planing and organizational skills to be used proficiently. I have good organizational skills with documents, time scheduling, and with general spatial organization. I love learning more about the print industry, as there are so many specialized areas to explore. I am confident in my good writing skill. I have excellent experience orally communicating with people experiencing conflicts with other people from my job as a rink guard. I handle all conflicts with professionalism and speak calmly, as I am dealing directly with the public and representing a large organization. I have four years of experience and knowledge in the graphic arts industry. I have used a large range of software technologies, which includes Kodak Prinergy and Insite, Adobe CC, ColorThink Pro, Esko packaging design and prepress software's, offset and flexography plate making, and many more. Aside from software, the many projects have allowed myself to use a Polar cutting machine, laminator, foil stamping, die cutting, and many more finishing processes. I have assisted on several offset and flexo press runs, as well as on saddle stitching and perfect binding production runs. All of the above mentioned work experiences and knowledge from the related courses have allowed me to understand and manage the complex process of seeing a print job be completed from design, prepress, proofing, plate-making, press runs to the many finishing options.
