About Emily Cordes

I love the simple joys in life. The first sip of coffee in the morning, the warmth of the sun, the sounds of nature. Practicing and teaching yoga has allowed me to connect more deeply to these simple joys, and this is what I love to share with the yoga community. It's not about what shape you make with your body, it's about what you learn from and through the movement. Since 2016, I have had the pleasure of sharing this lessons through teaching yoga. I am also a part-time elementary school teacher. Since I was a child I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I love experiencing the simple joys with my students and learn so much from them about how to enjoy and embrace the present moment. Beyond this, I am passionate about and experienced in Customer Experience and Marketing. Over the last 10 years I have developed customer service skills through working various roles in restaurants, including host, server, bartender and manager. My Undergraduate Degree in Communication prepared me well for building buzz around my own small yoga business. I regularly promote my offerings through social media and email marketing, and have recently begun my own blog to build community as well. I aim to live a healthy life in my mind, body, and soul, on and off the mat. I love to spend time in nature and be close to the water. I grew up and currently have my home base in Canada, though I also enjoy being on the move, traveling and teaching around the world as well as online.
