I'm a certified planner. I currently serve as the Development Director for Harrison Township in Montgomery County, Ohio. I've been busy helping to reestablish professional practices in the small department and have relaunched professional Zoning Administration, created a Neighborhood Stabilization Program, and continue to function as the Economic Development Professional for the Township. I'm using my experience as a regional and local comprehensive planning consultant for 20 years to leverage programs, and practices to help level up the Township's performance. Significant challenges include: Operating an exceptional and productive team on a very limited budget Decreasing vacancy and blight and bringing properties back onto the tax roles Facilitating permitted development and growth Collecting delinquent real estate taxes Recovery from a devastating 2019 Tornado Recovery from 2 decades of declining property values Replacing and expanding accessible housing I prepared the township's first updated land use and development plan in over 30 years in 2022, and we are working on Market Analysis, Area Plans, and building relationships with land owners and developers to create new experiences in the area.
