About Emily Haws

Growing up immersed in multiple sports and sustaining my fair share of injuries, I discovered my passion for human movement, physical activity, and restoring and enhancing one’s physical capabilities. These experiences have allowed me to pursue a Bachelor's Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta with a major in Physical Activity and Health. I am passionate about serving individuals of all ages and backgrounds based on their goals and needs. Loving my community, building connections, and empowering others to live physically active lives are commitments I stand behind. I have had the privilege of serving youth and children of all ages through my experience at Gull Lake Centre and Trinity Baptist Church. Involvement with these organizations has given me the opportunity to build connections with children and youth in my community while helping them physically, emotionally, and spiritually as they navigate their lives. Additionally, through both work and volunteer pursuits, I have been able to apply the knowledge and skills I have gained through my degree to encourage individuals to pursue an active lifestyle. Upon, graduation I ultimately hope to attain my Master’s in Physical Therapy to further develop my knowledge in rehabilitation and help individuals restore physical independence and confidence. I look forward to connecting with like-minded individuals and organizations!
