About Emily Herbert

I am a dedicated Resilience Practitioner at Quarriers, where I focus on supporting individuals to navigate and overcome life's challenges through building emotional resilience and wellbeing through coping strategies. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Psychology with Counselling, with a dissertation that explored addiction and how childhood trauma plays a role in recovery. This academic foundation, combined with my practical experience, has equipped me with a deep understanding of mental health, therapeutic interventions, and the importance of building personal resilience. During my time at university, I also volunteered at a 12-step rehabilitation centre, supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction. This hands-on experience, along with my previous work in residential childcare, has given me a compassionate, person centred and a trauma informed approach to supporting individuals in need.
