About Emily Klingspohn

Growing up in a rural community in Alberta, I was excited to move to Edmonton in 2016 with hopes of finding a career I would be passionate about pursuing. Working as a Court Runner in the Edmonton Law Courts introduced me to a field I hadn't previously considered. While working closely with lawyers and paralegals, I found the legal industry very intriguing, with a fast-paced environment and a never-ending chance to further education. I gained relationships with the court clerks and assistants, often finding and correcting errors in documents to ensure they could be filed as quickly as possible. It didn't take long to decide to pursue a career as a Paralegal. In 2019 I enrolled at MacEwan University in the Paralegal Studies Diploma program and was given the opportunity to work as a Corporate Clerk and obtain my CORES Level 1 & 2 certifications. These learning opportunities have heightened my interest in being in the legal industry and sparked my interest in entering a Corporate Law department. Through these experiences, I have gained the skills to provide exceptional customer service and anticipate clients' needs, prepare various legal documents, understand how to interpret the law, and introduce skills to conduct efficient legal research.
