About Emily Lutz

I am a senior product contributor with 10 years of experience working in the software and technology field. I have a multi-disciplinary individual contributor background in both product design and front-end development that have ultimately led me to a career in product management. My experience and technical knowledge allow me to define the product vision, strategy, and requirements and to complete projects efficiently. I understand what needs to be built, how it will be built, and what path we need to take to complete it. I love working with the design and development teams to form execution plans, and to help them work together to achieve them. My role as a product manager- Work on defining the product roadmap, vision and delivery/go-to-market strategies- Prioritize and manage client and industry requirements- Work with design, customer success, sales, development and legal to ensure we are building the right solution, economically- Manage beta and incremental releases to get features out quickly and iterate- Keep an eye on the market, the industry and competitors to make sure we are delivering value to our users- Make data driven product decisions leveraging by working with our data science team- Validate product and design assumptions by conducting user testing and user interviews- Contribute to project management within the organization. My technical skills include-UI/UX graphic design specializing in creating cohesive and unified eye-catching, useable interfaces for web and mobile applications- Web accessibility standards- Building and scaling design systems from both a development and a design point of view-Experience in the publishing, tech, and athletic industries-Proficiency in front-end development languages, the adobe suite, sketch, figma and other prototyping softwares. My background-Graduate of FIMS in Media, Information, and Technoculture at the University of Western Ontario as well as Multimedia Design, and Production at Fanshawe College.
