About Emily Majcherczyk

I have been working as a hairstylist since 1997. After a year long apprenticeship under Laura Cantu-Brann, owner of Gaia Salon Spa, for whom I worked for four years, I went on to complete another short apprenticeship with Vanis Salon, both of which were Aveda Concept. I moved my career to Chicago in 2005, where I received intensive retraining at the Aveda Institute. I became a certified haircutting coach in 2006. Working for Ruby Room, I served as the salon coach, developing the salon's protocol and procedures manual. I traveled to New York, where I trained as a Network Educator for Bumble and Bumble. I organized the hairdressing for Chicago Fashion Week in 2008, where I recruited, interviewed, and directed hairstylists from many different area salons. I also lead my salon team also competed in the runway fashion competition Hair Wars in 2008, where several are salons displayed their talent for avant-garde styling. In February 2009, I developed Hare and Moon hairdressing, which is an on-site and in salon agency local to Miller beach, Indiana.
