I’m the Co-Owner and Executive Specialty Veterinary Recruiter at BlackwellKing, the nation’s first specialty veterinary recruiting firm. Since acquiring the company in 2013, my focus has been on helping veterinarians — from new grads to experienced specialists — find positions that fit not just their skills, but their lives.At BlackwellKing, we believe every doctor deserves a trusted advocate. My role is to guide candidates through every stage of the process: polishing CVs, preparing for interviews, reviewing contracts, and negotiating the best possible offers — from salary and signing bonuses to relocation packages and even ownership opportunities. I’m not an attorney, but I like to say I’m the next best thing when it comes to protecting veterinarians from hidden contract pitfalls.We also know a career move often means a life move. That’s why we go the extra mile to support transitions — arranging travel for interviews, creating relocation guides with housing, schools, and local attractions, and sending gifts to celebrate milestones.
