About Emily McEwin

I am a new grad registered practical nurse. I received my nursing education at Loyalist College in Belleville, ON. I am very passionate about healthcare and improving it for the people it serves. I am hard-working and dedicated to my role and my own professional development. I discovered these traits after having my son just before I returned to nursing school in my second year. Having a newborn and coming back to school was a difficult thing for me, but finishing school was also a priority for me. Short-term, I plan to graduate my practical nursing program and take my registration exam. Long-term I am considering my Bachelors of science in Nursing and continuing on to my Masters degree. I have confidence that my skills, knowledge, determination and passion for nursing will propel me to these goals. I value a work environment with a strong team component where I can create meaningful relationships and work alongside my coworkers in an effective way. I also value strong leadership, with not only the best interest of the organization in mind but their staff as well. These values are essential to me in my career path. Throughout nursing school and raising my son I have discovered that perseverance and hard-work alongside an essential support system can get you through any hardship and help you meet your goals. i intend to apply these concepts to my career and allow myself to flourish.
