About Emily McGavin

As a leader in development, I have 14 years of experience working for nonprofit organizations in the Vail Valley and building relationships. Specifically, I have created successful fundraising programs that use storytelling to promote philanthropy through marketing and communication channels beyond direct mail. I have overseen fundraising operations, and I am proficient in Raiser’s Edge, Classy, MailChimp, and Canva, as well as other technological tools that analyze, wealth screen, solicit, and steward donors. I’ve continued to demonstrate my passion and expertise in the field by becoming a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), which informs me of the best practices for strategy at every phase of the donor cycle. My most recent position at the Vail Health Foundation allowed me to collaborate on major and planned gifts while raising funds for our $100 million capital campaign.
