About Emily Morgan

As a Data and Research Analyst (HEO) at the Office for National Statistics (ONS), I contribute to the production and dissemination of high-quality statistics on earnings in the UK. I work with the Earnings team in the Labour Market and Household Division, where I apply my skills in data analysis to identify and communicate trends in the data. I am responsible for the monthly publication of 'Average Weekly Earnings in Great Britain' and the yearly publication of 'Gender Pay Gap in the UK', using the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE). These publications inform stakeholders and the public about the earnings and pay disparities in the UK labour market. I also conduct analysis for a range of Covid-19 behavioural surveys, which help decision makers understand the public's response to the Coronavirus restrictions. I am motivated by the value and impact of statistics for the society and the economy, and I aim to uphold the highest standards of quality, integrity, and trustworthiness in my work.
