About Emily Nettnin

Emily Nettnin graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts and Communication. In 2008, she received a Masters in Fine Arts degree from UNC School of the Arts in Performing Arts Management (Arts Administration) and has worked in the marketing and development arenas for different arts organizations for over 10 years. She has been responsible for annual fund appeals, special events, grant writing, database maintenance, brand marketing redesigns and social media campaigns. Emily has also spent several years of her professional career teaching. She spent time teaching an Arts in Education seminar for graduate students at UNC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, NC; Drama and Musical Theatre to middle school students at Progress Village Middle Magnet School in Tampa, FL and most recently, Visual Art to elementary students at Dayspring Academy in New Port Richey, FL. Regarding her theatre work, Emily is a product of many years of instruction, practice and guidance from Ruth Ecker Hall’s PACT Institute in Clearwater, FL. Some of her directing credits include: Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner; You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown; ‘Night Mother; Jekyll & Hyde; Eleemosynary; 9 to 5: The Musical; and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Emily’s acting experiences include Kate Keller in All My Sons; Karen Nash in Plaza Suite; Annie Clark in Calendar Girls; Louise Seeger in Always…Patsy Cline; Chelsea Thayer Wayne in On Golden Pond; and Julia Budder in It’s Only a Play. She has also been a professional puppeteer for Disney and an instructor for Ruth Eckerd Hall and the North Pinellas YMCA’s summer theatre classes.
