About Emily Pecora

Currently an undergrad at The University of Florida studying public relations with a concentration in political science. I am heavily involved with Student Government at UF in many ways. I have been a senator since my freshman fall, and am running in elections for the third time. As a senator I have been a part of many different things. I have sponsored much legislation that I believe will positively impact the student experience. As a senator I have been on the Rules and Ethics Committee, Replacement and Agenda Committee, and Vice Chaired the Budget and Appropriations committee. My favorite role to date has been the Budget and Appropriations committee. I am one of the few students who handles about $23 million of Student Activity and Service fees, and distributes it to the proper entities. As well as being a senator, I am also involved in UF's Homecoming and Gator Growl as the Public Relations Director. Homecoming and Gator Growl is a long standing tradition at UF and I am able to help bring all sorts of celebrities to gather students together. I have also worked on five Gator Party Campaigns, serving multiple different roles. I have recently worked my way up to a chair position.
