About Emily Powers

I grew up in Rome, GA where I was a competitive cheerleader. I loved tumbling, but more so I loved stunting. This led me to decide to compete in acrobatics and tumbling in college since I could solely focus on the skills and the aspect of the sport I loved. Fast forward and I am now the Head Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach at Belmont Abbey College and have been here since 2018. I started the program at Belmont Abbey and since then we have finished 2nd in Conference Carolinas, were ranked 10th in the nation, won 7 Event Championships within the conference, and qualified for the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Event Championships. We were also home to the Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Specialist of the Year for the 2023 season. I love building connections with my athletes and seeing them grow, transform, and develop while they are in our program. I would love to connect with anyone in the industry and anyone who also has a love of acrobatics and tumbling or wants to learn more about this sport.
