About Emily Rand

Howdy, folks! My name is Emily. I am an Oklahoma-based individual with a degree in English and a sweeping creative background. When not painting a pet portrait for friends or family in my free time, I enjoy watching YouTube videos about marketing and/or hearing from small business owners about their tried and true methods for growing their brand(s). My top 3 strengths are: writing and editing in a variety of forms, being an active listener and contributor, and having an adaptive mindset and ability to learn new skills very quickly. Recent accolades and schooling include: my Bachelor's degree focused in English Language with a minor in liberal arts from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, a motion graphics design degree from Tulsa Technology Center, and multiple writing publications in The Accent and Drover Review. I also have experience presenting at large conferences, such as The Southwest Popular/American Culture Association where I presented my undergrad thesis. One of my most recent personal accomplishments was starting up a small online reselling store called "BougieBison." This project has helped me to hone my copywriting skills as well as a plethora of other general skills like: product sourcing, crafting descriptions, and providing prompt customer service over a variety of platforms.
