About Emily Saed

I am the founding Director of the Minnesota STEM Ecosystem. The STEM Ecosystem brings together Industry, K12 Education, Higher Education, and Out-of-School STEM Learning Programs to align formal and informal STEM education with workforce needs, expand access to high-quality programming, and drive innovation and workforce development through regional and statewide collaboration. I am so proud of the robust STEM movement in Minnesota; and with the addition on the legislative funds in the upcoming biennium- we truly are a public-private partnership bolstering innovation and workforce development! Prior to this position, I was the Executive Director of the Minnesota Foundation for Student Organizations (MFSO) for more than 20 years! The MFSO provides oversight and guidance to Minnesota's career and technical student organizations. One of the most rewarding things I had the opportunity to do in this position was develop a program increasing participation of underserved and marginalized populations in CTSOs. The year I left I was able to secure additional legislative funding specific to that program ensuring its continuity!
