As a Career Pathway Facilitator with a strong background in Curriculum Development and Education, I am passionate about empowering students to succeed in their career journeys. With experience in leading professional learning opportunities, coordinating work-based learning initiatives, fostering relationships with business partners, and organizing career events, I have a proven track record of driving student success. I have been instrumental in developing original curriculum tied to state standards, collaborating with teachers statewide to create engaging learning experiences. I have also managed teams of educators through virtual learning and curriculum redesign, showcasing my leadership skills and adaptability in changing educational landscapes. In my previous roles as a Family and Consumer Science Teacher, I have developed learning outcomes, activities, and assessments for hundreds of students annually, and have been involved in building leadership teams, presenting professional learning, and coordinating advisory boards. I have also been recognized for my excellence in teaching, including being nominated for Kansas Teacher of the Year and Missouri State Teachers Association, Teacher of Promise. In addition to my expertise in education, I have also been actively engaged in professional communities through presentation engagements at conferences and virtual learning series, further enhancing my knowledge and skills in my field. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science.
