About Emily Shepherd

I believe in the power of stories, art, honesty, and human connection! I was the kid who took home stacks of books from the library and doodled in the margins of notebooks. These juvenile interests lead me to study Graphic Design and Electronic Media Production at the work-study college, College of the Ozarks. My interest in art brought me into the world of Graphic Design. Using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign, I get to portray the values and story of a company, brand, or individual through visual communication and design principles! My interest in storytelling got me into Media Production where I use Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premier Pro to create compelling narratives that promote a cause or business, or simply speak to something deeper in the human condition. At CofO, I work as a Radio Producer, Graphic Designer and serve as a Student Manager for KCOZ 91.7 FM. There, I get to write scripts, record and edit content on Adobe Audition, live-host, and help lead my coworkers. Here, I've learned not only practical skills of Radio Production but also how to humbly lead and encourage my coworkers and visualize ways in which to make our team better! Fun Facts: 1. I grew up in Northwest Arkansas and can remember when Highway 102 was only 2 lanes. Crazy. I was in marching band in high school where I played in the drum line and front ensemble! I believe Napoleon Dynamite is an excellent film and I'm willing to defend that claim.
