About Emily Shi
Hello! I am a senior at UT Dallas completing my BS in Mechanical Engineering and beginning my MS in Systems Engineering and Management. I have a passion for working with people to design new or improved systems. Despite my mechanical background, I believe the key to good engineering is understanding how distinct disciplines interact to produce complex systems. My most recent internship allowed me to support a number of efforts for SNC's auto-ESM radar system, including requirements management, CAD modeling, and test procedure development. Now, as a co-op, I have continued to support systems engineering for SNC’s auto-ESM system. Additionally, I have contributed to MBSE efforts for SNC’s aerial ISR platform, RAPCON-X. With my Senior Capstone Design team, I am working to develop and build an automated flow bench for testing a component in Leonardo DRS’s cryocoolers. My focus areas are in electronics, data acquisition, and programming (in NI LabVIEW). Currently, I am open to full-time opportunities upon graduation. Thank you for dropping by!
