About Emily Sledge

I graduated from Elon University in May 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. During my time at Elon, I honed my skills in all genres of writing, including but not limited to professional writing, technical writing, resume writing, copywriting, and creative writing. I am also proficient in editing and revising drafts, as well as providing thorough, effective feedback to peers. As an Administrative Support Specialist for UNC Chapel Hill's Department of Urology, I assist in completion of administrative tasks for healthcare providers, such as scheduling meetings and interviews, submitting time off requests, processing refunds, and creating expense reports. I also help in general office management and clerical tasks such as organizing mail, ordering supplies, and coordinating department events. I also have experience as a 5th grade English Language Arts teacher. I developed skills in time management, collaboration, leadership, organization, critical thinking and problem solving, and conflict resolution. I am passionate about education and literacy and love to read, write, and learn, and inspire a love for learning in others.
