Background
About Emily Strickler
I'm a visual artist with a mission to share joy, belonging, and understanding through creativity - in both my own creative practice and in how I foster creativity in others! I work as a designer and educator based in Oklahoma, where I co-own an award-winning creative agency, Toast Design Studio, and teach digital design at the University of Oklahoma. Before launching my own business full-time, I spent over a decade in the nonprofit arts sector, where I earned the NexGen Under 30 award for Leadership & Contributions in the Arts and was selected as a member in the Oklahoma Arts Council's Leadership Arts Class IX. I have continued to contribute to the arts community as a grant reviewer for the Oklahoma Arts Council and the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition. Additionally, I spent several years as a co-host of Creatures & Creatives, an RPG actual-play podcast, where I collaborated with three talented designers to explore the intersection of creativity, play, and storytelling.
