About Emily Taylor

I hear people’s stories and work with them to find their happy ending. I work with individuals and families experiencing homelessness to obtain and maintain permanent housing. I also work with households at risk of homelessness to retain their housing and refine their self-sufficiency skills. And if things don’t go according to plan, I stay working with them until they do. I’m driven by human connection and have excelled at navigating local, state, and federal systems especially as they relate to housing. I continue to be challenged in finding ways to improve my work not only to improve the programs within which I work but also to improve the lives of the individuals and families with whom I work. My greatest joy of being involved in this work so far has been advocating for households in need of subsidized housing to see them move into affordable housing and achieve financial stability to better provide for their families. When I’m not working with others to achieve their goals, I’m spending quality time with my dog, Cooper, watching home improvement shows on HGTV, listening to true crime podcasts and exploring the Green Mountain State.
