About Emily Thompson

Emily is an experienced, committed and passionate school leader who is motivated by helping every child and student reach their potential, via an individual and personalised journey. She believes education is the key to a successful and positive future and is a firm advocate for children receiving the best all-around education that schools can offer. Emily has extensive experience in stable school leadership within a diocese, MAT and local authority structure and has built high performing teams and strong community relationships in each of those highly diverse settings. She prides herself on being able to build and sustain positive relationships with all members of a school community and deeply values the role that schools should play in their local, wider environment. She places a high emphasis on being a local ambassador, recognising the school as a community hub and focal point over and above the role as an education provider. She views this role as being critical for attraction and retention of both students and staff as she seeks to position every school as a local school of choice.
