Background
About Emily Townsend
With a background in the construction materials sector and experience in continuous improvement, I am always looking for ways to enhance outcomes and reduce impacts, progressively improving sustainability performance. I am excited by the rapid pace of change in the world, bringing increasing disruption, technological advances and new ways of thinking, and the opportunity to not just ‘do things better’ but to ‘do better things’. We have more choice than ever before, and a proliferation of ‘eco’ claims and labels, so it’s not always easy to identify the best option in our ‘post truth’ world. I want to support better decision-making through life cycle thinking, and provide robust, transparent information to enhance product sustainability. I believe business has a key role to play in the transition and look forward to enabling organisations all over Australasia to succeed sustainably.
