About Emily Vellender

Hello! I am a recently graduated bachelor's degree student looking for experience in the broad field of Psychology. My goals and ambitions include working closely with many different client populations and collaborating with and learning from other professionals. I am willing to listen and learn, and I am extremely open to new experiences! I consider my main assets to be leadership and problem-solving. In 2019 I had the opportunity to become one of two Head Delegates for my university's Model United Nations class and club. Although this did not perfectly align with my ultimate career goals, I saw it as an opportunity to grow my professional skill set. I successfully navigated my way through this uncharted territory by employing my organizational and decision-making skills. Both of these abilities play into my understanding and love for leadership and problem-solving. Lastly, I consider myself to be an extremely dedicated, disciplined, and hard-working person. I have played lacrosse for eight years, including earning the role as a team captain for two years in high school and two years in college. This sport has pushed me to develop these traits as well as my leadership ability to their fullest extent.
