About Emma Bainbridge

As a skilled Children's Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in children's services, I have worked within the NHS, for a private Children's OT company and within Education. My roles have involved conducting comprehensive sensory assessments, analysing behaviour through observations, and gathering information from parents and teachers to understand the challenges experiences by each child or young person. Using this data, I create personalised programs and strategies to address individual needs and support regulation, working closely with teachers to integrate sensory strategies effectively within the classroom environment. I have developed and delivered a range of training sessions for staff members and parents, enhancing their knowledge of sensory processing. I have supported children and young people with various conditions, including but not limited to autism, Down syndrome, and degenerative muscular conditions. I have experience of using a variety of aids to increase performance in daily activities. I have also completed social care assessments for minor and major adaptations.
