About Emma Barfield
After graduating high school, I pursued a bachelor's degree in Technical Theatre and Design from Central Connecticut State University. After four years at the school, I discovered that theatrical design was not a career choice that suited me. I took some time away from school in order to experience different environments. I worked all sorts of jobs from a Costuming Intern at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to a barista in Midtown Manhattan. On this journey I took on leadership roles as a trainer and I discovered that what I really wanted to do was help people in a meaningful way. I am enjoying furthering my experience in the Food Service Industry while I pursue a new degree in Nursing at Borough of Manhattan Community College.
