About Emma Berger

Hello! My name is Emma (they/she). I am a recent graduate from the BA Psychology (Hons; Social Innovation Minor) program at Mount Royal University. I consider myself sector agnostic, but focus specific, in that I strive to reduce polarization, enhance collaboration, and promote empathetic communication. Learning from others' lived experiences fuels my drive, and I'm dedicated to EDIJR, accessibility, & advocacy in all my efforts. As an Impact Officer with Global Shapers Calgary, I’m managing a team of young volunteers in a civic action project platforming the legacies of Calgarians 65+ to bridge perspectives between younger and older generations. At the Nonprofit Chamber, I supported in information management, organizing resources and applied IDEA principles in my creation of a new online platform for connecting nonprofit professionals. At Youthful Cities, I leveraged my skills in research, partnership development, and event planning to address youths' barriers to education and employment. I’m also actively involved in advancing civic engagement and policy change through my volunteer roles. I'm always happy to collaborate and amplify good work. Let's connect and support each other!
