About Emma Blake

As a postgraduate student at University College London, I am passionate about studying and researching the field of eating disorders. I aim to apply my knowledge and skills to improve the health and well-being of people affected by these conditions.Previously, I specialised in substance use disorders as a research assistant and a program coordinator at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in the United States. I have co-authored publications, produced and directed educational mini-documentaries, and overseen and produced a podcast series related to perinatal substance use disorders. I have also been involved in recruiting, screening, consenting, and enrolling participants for two multisite studies funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Pew Charitable Trust, respectively. Through these experiences, I have developed strong skills in research, media, public speaking, writing, and leadership.
