About Emma Blomkamp

I support people to create kinder, fairer policies and services by building skills in co-design and systemic innovation. I spent a decade leading strategic design projects with public purpose organisations, and a prior decade refining my skills as an educator and researcher. Now I specialise in training and mentoring people to work more effectively with communities to tackle complex challenges. Born and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand, with experience in Asia and Europe, I'm based in Melbourne on Wurundjeri Country. My work brings together academic rigour and practical wisdom to support public servants, designers and changemakers. My approach is informed by my PhD in community wellbeing and public policy, plus extensive experience in adult learning, systemic design and social innovation. I remain an active researcher and writer, contributing to international discourse through publications and presentations, while focusing on building capabilities that help create more equitable and compassionate public services.
