About Emma Campoverde
Hi, my name is Emma Campoverde and I am a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering. Over my time at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I have conducted experiments in a biology laboratory, including observing and determining the mitotic stages of plant cells by examining a sample underneath a microscope.Instead of Chemistry 1, I took Biology 1 and Organic Chemistry 1 my first year at RPI; I was able to transfer chemistry credits from a dual-enrollment program in my high school that was provided by SUNY Orange. I also began my first year of college as one of 154 students in my graduating class to be awarded the Rensselaer Medal- an achievement for advanced academics in mathematics or sciences. I am currently searching for a Summer 2023 internship that will allow me to use my basic laboratory knowledge, and apply that to my ongoing study of chemical engineering.
