About Emma Carey

I am a highly motivated individual, completing a BSc Honours in Bioanalysis & Biotechnology at Technological University of the Shannon, with a second-class honours grade one award. I am passionate about biotechnology and microbiology, as evidenced by my higher-level education degree – a program I successfully completed as a mature student while working part-time. This degree afforded me the opportunity to practise relevant laboratory skills and gain valuable industry-level experience, with excellent awareness of the required regulatory bodies (FDA and HPRA) along with GMP, GLP and ISOs (14001,18001 and 17025). I obtain strong planning skills, including time management, along with documenting, and organisational skills. My career to date has allowed me the opportunity to work as part of a team, assisting fellow colleagues and clients alike. Gaining experience working alongside different clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, while developing valuable relationships. I have provided training and delivered workshops to clients to assist in developing their knowledge and skill set. I have attended a wide variety of conferences across Europe, presenting live demonstrations, and also delivering demonstrations virtually through webinars and other communication platforms. I attain a combination of strong analytical and research skills, together with my people skills and ability to be an effective team player.
