About Emma Collier

Getting your organisation and project “fit for funding” - with Chora Consulting and building on long experience of VCSE infrastructure, I offer skills and experience to support and develop projects, people and organisations in the voluntary and community sector. I work with mainly social purpose causes including youth, childcare and play, community development, arts, health, and complex social issues. I have experience and perspective on the arc the funding process from community consultation, research and evidence of need, project development and application to grant assessment, monitoring and evaluation. I specialise in supporting and developing small-medium voluntary organisations centred on a belief in skills sharing, capacity building, and developing an in-depth understanding of your cause - and underpinned by a concern for fairness, resilience and sustainability.Emma has an MA in Urban Design, is an accredited Funding Adviser and Member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. She was elected a Fellow of the Schumacher Institute in 2022.
