About Emma Cooper

My professional goal has always been clear: to make a meaningful impact in education. Over the years, I’ve explored this passion across a wide range of educational settings including K–12 language instruction, private and public education, higher education, and international education. Among these, global education resonated most deeply with me. It sparked my love for language, intercultural communication, travel, creativity, and innovation, all pillars that continue to guide my career path. I'm especially drawn to the diverse opportunities within international education and am excited to contribute to work that supports cross-cultural exchange, global learning, and educational equity on a broad scale. My journey began during my undergraduate studies, when I served as a Lead Global Education Mentor (LGEM) after studying abroad in Florence, Italy—an experience that first ignited my passion for international education. Since then, I’ve taught in a Spanish classroom in Winchcombe, England; engaged in conflict transformation work across Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Serbia; and interned in Madrid, Spain at the Middlebury School Abroad as an Assistant Program Coordinator. These experiences continue to shape my perspective and deepen my commitment to fostering global understanding through education.
