About Emma Davis
My passion for astrophysics and quantum mechanics leads me to double major in astronomy and physics at Smith College, a historically women's liberal arts college. At Smith, I engaged in computational research with Dr. Gary Felder in the engrossing field of quantum chaos, where I sharpened my programming skills in Python and Mathematica. I studied abroad at the University of Edinburgh and am currently working with Edinburgh researcher Dr. Michael Peterson in computational galaxy research, modeling with the Python package Gala, and I continue this work as a senior honors thesis with additional advisor Dr. James Lowenthal. I participated this summer in the UCSB Physics REU in astronomy with Dr. Max Millar-Blanchaer.
