About Emma Ducharme
I am currently a Recreation Aide at a Revera Long Term Care home. I studied Therapeutic Recreation at the University of Waterloo. I previously have worked as an aid for people with disabilities and I have worked as a camp counsellor for two and a half summers. Throughout my undergraduate degree I completed two student placements at Joseph Brant Hospital and Grand River Hospital in Acute and specialized mental health units. I discovered my passion for Mental Health and how recreational therapy can benefit individuals with addictions and mental health issues in a holistic way. Bettering the complete individual rather than just one part of them. I hope to continue learning more about this area and working within mental health and addictions.
