About Emma Evans

I am a consultant clinical psychologist working in the NHS and clinical researcher. I have over 20 years experience of working as a clinical psychologist in the NHS and have had involvement in research throughout my career. My main area of interest is women's health, including pelvic pain and gynaecological health. I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), a fully trained mindfulness (MBCT) teacher, and have an active interest and developing skills in compassion focus therapy (CFT). I have also trained as a supervisor and have over 15 years experience of supervising clinical and assistant psychologists, CBT therapist and psychological-well-being practitioners. I also have considerable experience of providing consultancy to other health care professionals (nurses, physiotherapists, MDs) regarding psychological aspects of care. I am committed to improving health care for women and reducing health inequalities both through providing clinical care within the NHS and through research.
