About Emma Evans

BACP registered. I am currently working at Weston College as the Staff Welfare Officer. This role also includes supporting all the education staff within the prisons in the south west and south east. I have just completed my year one of Level 4 Integrative counselling. I have previous experience working in a private school for Dyslexic children providing 1-2-1 social, emotional support for dyslexic young adults. In 2018 I started working for ‘Mind in Somerset’ as a mental health support worker and crisis worker. This was an extremely challenging/ demanding role but also very rewarding. My role as a ‘Mindline call handler’ opened my eyes to the world and the struggles people face and my passion and experience grew. I realized and understood the importance of early intervention and the need to support and encourage early ‘talking out’ and ‘reaching out’. I am a solution focused driven person and will always do my best to help in making positive changes.
